MURALS: About

Murals

Spraypaint was an early medium that allowed me to focus further on artwork. I began to contemplate colors more in depth. I experimented with line weight and shading, structure and composition. Years later I realized I had developed techniques and processes that could allow me to achieve mural sized works in an efficient manner.
I'm honored to work beside my Brothers Collaborative team with Derek Pasitney and occasionally others. Murals offer a very unique opportunity to connect with a neighbourhood. I love working with a client to figure out a mural that will represent their town, city or area. Creating these large scales works always involves challenges, I've found my 10+ years as a painter by trade have come in handy many times when confronted with unique projects.
"You're only as good as your prep man", a saying I often heard from my uncle and can still apply today. Masking, sanding, priming and sealing are just as important as the application of the mural itself. We are looking for longevity whether that's a UV clearcoat  or an anti-graffiti easy clean coating, we can take your project from start to finish, professionally and on time (fingers crossed on rain days).
The most rewarding part of these projects is interacting with the locals as the mural takes shape. You can feel the anticipation and excitement rise as people go from wondering what we are doing, to questioning what we are doing, and eventually loving the colorful addition to their local walls. Send me an email, lets bring some color to your neighbourhood!

Another fun mural in the town of Humboldt with my mural partner Derek J. This wall adds a lot of colour to main street as you arrive in town from highway 20. A huge thanks to Partner's Family Services for trusting us to execute this design on their wall. We spend and evening transfering the linework to the wall before attacking it with colour, aboard a scissor lift. It's always great to hear feedback from the locals as we are  working on a project like this. People pulling off the road into the parking lot to tell us they loved it. Pedestrians and cyclists yelling out "good work!" from across the street. We hope those same types of positive interactions continue to happen around that wall into the future.

Homescapes 2021

Two Mural Artists Traversing North America

I'm very excited to announce this project I've been working on. We plan to spend the summer of 2021 travelling from Indiana, northwest to British Columbia before returning home to Saskatchewan.
